Vineyard peach body scrub

The moment you open this product you are hit with the smell of fresh peaches. Containing small particles made up of ground peach seeds, the body scrub provides the perfect gentle exfoliation. For those with sensitive skin, the product is not overly abrasiven and doubles up as a great in shower moisturiser. I used this after a session in the gym and loved the soft after effect of it and the lovely peach smell that lingers on your skin for over an hour after.

 

Vineyard peach body lotion

The body scrub left my skin feeling immensely soft and moisturised but i found this product to be a great follow up. As with the scrub the first thing you notice upon use is the fantastic peach scent. This lotion rubs into the skin very easily and although light requires only a few pea size amounts per limb, hopefully meaning thatthe bottle is long lasting. This cream gives your skin a nice even shine without being overly greasy. Another great product from the body shop!

LUSH launches emotional brilliance

Today LUSH launches the Emotional Brilliance collection. Most widely known for their bath and skin care products, this collection is the company's first foray into the world of make up and cosmetics. The collection is made up of three lines - liquid lipstick, cream eyeshadow and liquid eye liners and contains a total of 30 colours, with each colour being given an name that is synonimous to an emotion.

Last night saw a prerelease of the range in a series of pop up parties across the companies storee. I popped down to the Rengents street branch to see what all the fuss is about and if Lush can make as big an impact in the make up world as it has in its current field of bath and skin care products.

OPI minnie mouse - product review

So I was very excited to get my hands (and nails) on the new minnie mouse range from OPI that was released in the UK this summer. All four colours in the collection are fun and flirty, if your as much a girly girl as I am then you should definately check out this range.

With the sun finally deciding to show itself this weekend, I decided to join it by brightenly up my nails to match my mood.

If You Moust You Moust

After two coats

The first colour in the collection that I tried was the 'If You Moust, You Moust'. This shade is a middle pink shade. Not too bright and coats on lovely and even. If you apply a base coat first you will only need to apply two layers of this polish before you get a nice glossy finish. I really liked this colour and the quality of the finished product.

Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It

The second and final product from the collection that I tried was the colour 'Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It'. I found this polish went on evenly but due to the transluent nature of the polish i opted to coat it over 'If You Moust, You Moust'. I like the finished effect of this product but found it very difficult to get the hearts out of the bottle.

Final thoughts:

I will certainly be trying some of the other colours in the range. 'If You Moust, You Moust' is in keeping with the hight quality that is OPI polishes.

I will say that if you are struck for time then Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It isnt the best choise as removing the hearts from the bottle takes a while. Quick tip: Turn the bottle upside down for a bit and let the hearts sink to the top.

On the hunt for a sports bra! Help

Hi guys,

So I have tried almost every type of sports bra out there and I am still dismayed to find that I cannot find a bra that will give me the necessary support for me to work out in the gym and to also compete weekly in Netball. I have a small size 8 frame and a large chest at 34F which makes it highly difficult to find a suitable high impact/high support sports bra. So I am enlisting your help....all suggestions welcome.

Since summer wont come....Oasis dress haul

With all the terrible weather that we have been having recently I decided to spice up my summer work wardrobe with some new dresses. Oasis have recently released a new selection of dresses in store alongside the sale that is currenly on. I initially only chose 3 dresses from the current selection, making a rookie mistake of not trying the dresses on in the store. I was dismayed to find that although I wear a size 8 from almost all highstreet retailers I needed to get a size 10 from Oasis. Consequently I took another trip to Oasis and discover another dress that I liked the look of. These can be found below with feedback on my thoughts after wearing each for a day in the office.

DRESS ONE: Bodycon dress

I actually first saw this dress on their website and I fell in love. The deep plum colour meant that it was appropriate to wear in the office without drawing too much attention to me. I also liked that it was a suitable length, stopping at just above the knee. One downfall that i found with this dress was that with it being a bodycon it does show the good, the bad and the ugly. If like me you are a little selfconcious and dont like the idea of all lumps and bumps being on dislay then this may not be the best choice for daytime wear. This dress does look great paired with a nice blazer. I wore mine with the H&M black 3/4 length sleeve blazer. (Retails at £40)

DRESS TWO: 2 in 1 dress

The dress, which comes in 3 colours - black, blue and plum, is the perfect summer dress. Whilst the weather may not be what we're used to at this time of year thhis dress is the perfect work- post work social outfit. I wore my dress to work and followed on with after work cocktails in the city. This dress really is perfect for all your 2 in 1 occaisions.


DRESS THREE: 90s stripes shift dress

This retro print summer dress has a unique eye catching pattern on the front. Not something that I would normally wear into the office I decided to wear this in on Monday in the hopes of shaking that monday morning feeling. I got great feed back for this dress which although based only in black and white comes with a splash of red round the centre as a slim fit belt. This dress will definately be making a reappearance to the office.

DRESS FOUR: 2 in 1 workwear dress

The final dress I purchased was the tan 2 in 1 work wear dress. At only £45 I found this to be very reasonably priced. The fabric and design of the dress gives it a very elegant feel. This dress is perfect for any office worker who likes to dress the part.

Weleda Promegranate Regenerating Hand Cream - REVIEW

As a woman with a Caribbean ethnic background I am forever on the hunt for a good hand cream that doesnt leave me with ashy finger joints less then an hour after application. I recently tried the Weleda hand cream brand for the first time, choosing the Pomergranate regenerating hand cream.

The first thing to note about this hand cream is that it comes in a lovely shade of red. This is ideal for spotting in the bottom of a busy handbag, especially for all you ladies that prefer the large style shopper bags that are currently in fashion.

Upon application you will find that this cream is very rich and high quality and only a pea sized amount is required for use. This product spreads easily over the skin immediately soothing over any dry spots leaving a lovely sweet scent in its wake.

If you're looking for a quality handbag sized cream then I would certainly recommmend this product. Available at a wide varitey of retailers this product comes in a 50ml bottle and is reasonably priced at £7.74 if you purchase from Amazon as I did.

Alternative breakfast - Natural Valley!

So I’m not the biggest fan of breakfast and can rarely be found to be eating it in the morning. However, this morning as I was passing through Paddington station I was given a granola bar. If you have ever had to commute via tube in London you will know what a rush the process can be. Not wanting to loiter in the station for longer than necessary I took what was offered and with chocolate in the title gave into temptation and ate the entire packet en route to the office.

Nature Valley, one of the suppliers for the London 2012 Olympics have a delish range of granola bars known as ‘Crunchy & more’. If you’re not a fan of granola then you have no worries with this. The range includes a wide range of options catering to all food types. From traditional oats ‘n honey to my personal favorite oats n chocolate I will definitely be snacking on more of these as the perfect start to the day.
